The ANJE-Gallup exit poll and a quick count performed on Sunday, 16 May predicted Leonel Fernandez would win with 56% of the vote, followed by the PRD with 34.8% and the PRSC with 8%. Some 3,612 voters were polled. The OAS quick count poll fluctuated between 63.17%-53.33% for the PLD and 36.68%-28.18% for the PRD.
Penn Schoen & Berland also carried out an exit poll whose results were released abroad.
