The former president of Bancredito, Manuel Arturo Pellerano, sat for questioning for five hours by Judge Anikssa Serra de la Mota at the Palacio de Justicia in Ciudad Nueva. He was accompanied by his lawyers Eduardo Jorge Prats, Hipolito Herrera Vasallo, Pedro Catrain and Luis Rivas. Pellerano is accused of irregularities in the management of Bancredito, which has since been sold to Banco Leon. Pellerano had been abroad since the RD$20 billion banking alleged fraud case was first brought to justice, alleging that he was accompanying his father who is convalescing abroad. Pellerano said he will not leave the country. He explained his father?s health has improved.
