The Ministry of Public Works is reporting that Duarte Highway will be shut down on Thursday, 10 June from 6 to 7 am. The ministry will be placing a pedestrian walkway over the highway and has chosen to take advantage of the Corpus Christi holiday. The construction, nevertheless, will paralyze traffic on the highway as there are no alternative routes. Those planning to travel north and those heading in from the north should avoid the highway on early Thursday morning.
