President Hipolito Mejia and President-elect Leonel Fernandez are scheduled to meet on 22 June to discuss matters related to the governmental transition and other crucial matters such as the electricity crisis and the pending tax reform, announced Monsignor Agripino Nunez.
Nunez Collado said that the former prime minister of Spain, Felipe Gonzalez, would be present at the tete-a-tete, which will take place under the auspices of the National Dialogue forum at the PUCMM campus in Santo Domingo.
Nunez Collado said that representatives of the PRSC may also be invited, as well as members of the civic society organizations.
Nunez Collado said that he has been given the responsibility of preparing the agenda and the issues to be discussed at the encounter.
Mejia and Fernandez have appointed transitional committees to handle matters relating to the administration handover, but the 22 June meeting will mark the first time the two will have sat down since Fernandez? electoral victory on 16 May.
