President Hipolito Mejia will travel to Guatemala to attend a presidential summit and speak before the Central American Parliament. The XXIV Summit of Heads of State and Government of the System of Central American Integration (SICA) will take place in Guatemala City and will mark President Mejia?s 43rd trip abroad during his term of office. As reported in Hoy newspaper, the outgoing President will travel accompanied by Foreign Relations Minister Frank Guerrero Prats. Others on his delegation will include Foreign Relations Deputy Minister Miguel Pichardo, Ambassador Fausto Sicard Moya, press director Luis Gonzalez Fabra and the chief of his military assistants, Major General Carlos Diaz Morfa. Businessman Irving Redondo of Central Romana, Superintendent of Insurance Rafael Santos and Victor Gomez Berges will also be on hand.
Mejia leaves today, 29 June at 7am and will return on Wednesday.
