A US citizen presented a formal suit against Diamond Casino in Santo Domingo. As reported in the Listin Diario today, Carl Leyva Ramos, a CPA and owner of businesses in the US and Puerto Rico, filed his case against the casino alleging he was duped for US$22,000 by the fraudulent maneuvers and influence in the game called Caribbean Keno. The claimant stated that the gambler has no chance of beating the house in this game.
Leyva Ramos disclosed that he was drawn into the game because he was given US$20 to play, but then made use of his credit card, which was charged for the US$22,000 loss. Leyva Ramos is seeking indemnity of RD$100 million.
