FINJUS demands transparency

The Foundation for Institutionalism and Justice (FINJUS) requested transparency from the Supreme Court of Justice in all transfers of judges. As reported in El Caribe, FINJUS criticized the Supreme Court for not having made public its reasons for its transfer of five judges, Judge Serra?s among them. El Caribe says that the SCJ previously issued explanations for its transfer of judges. FINJUS spokesman Jose Alfredo Rizek said that these transfers should not be ordered unless the SCJ has clear cause or the transfer is being carried out with the consent of the judge in question. Rizek also requested an explanation for the rushed dismantling of the court previously presided over by Judge Serra.
