Gas stations accused of fraud

CECCOM, the specialized government body in charge of quality control of gasolines, published the names of 13 gasoline retailers accused of fraudulent procedures. Major General Marcos Rodriguez Melo, who directs CECCOM, said in a press conference that the service stations were confirmed to have conducted underhanded practices that including selling regular gasoline in premium gasoline pumps in order to cheat consumers. The stations in question are the following:

Texaco Lucerna, Carretera Mella; Texaco Charles de Gaulle; Texaco San Cristobal, Calle Libertad corner Duarte; Texaco Hatillo, Carr. 6 de Noviembre; Texaco Monte Cristi, Autopista de San Isidro; Texaco Sabana Perdida, behind the cock fight pit; Texaco Sombrero, Bani; Texaco Lope de Vega; Texaco Los Mina-Sabana Perdida; Texaco Manzanillo; Esso Arroyo Hondo; Esso Villa Altagracia; and Isla, Calle Yolanda Guzman.
