Telemicro Channel 5 and Digital 15 will be broadcasting the Olympic Games in the Dominican Republic. Ildefonso Urena, the spokesman for the stations, said the coverage will follow the Dominican performances in the Games. Dominican athletes are competing in nine events ? track and field, boxing, judo, table tennis, wrestling, weight lifting, shooting, tae kwon do and women?s volleyball. Roosevelt Comarazamy and Mario Emilio Guerrero will be in charge of the coverage. The DR has placed its hopes of winning a first gold medal in Olympic history on the shoes of Felix ?Super? Sanchez, who is the top-ranked 400-meter hurdler. Sanchez will carry the flag for the Dominican Republic in the opening ceremony on 13 August.
