Punta Cana polytechnical school

The Punta Cana Group and the Punta Cana Foundation announced the start of classes at the Anne & Ted Kheel Polytech in Punta Cana. The privately-run technical high school boasts a new building with four classrooms and capacity for 120 students, at a cost of RD$20 million. The school serves low-income students in the communities of Veron, Bavaro, Cortecito, Cabeza de Toro, Uvero Alto, Macao and Punta Cana. The director of social and community affairs of the Punta Cana Group, Paul Beswick, said there is still room for new students. According to him, students pay a minimal fee to enrol and access the many courses and facilities available, such as computers, physics, chemistry, biology labs, as well as basketball and volleyball courts, a cafeteria and parking area. The school is located at the Veron-Punta Cana crossing in front the Veron stadium.
