DR to assist Belgium in drug case

Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso has ordered the Dominican Embassy in Belgium to cooperate fully with the authorities in their investigation of a former councillor, Francisco Sanabia, who allegedly participated in drug and alcohol trafficking. Sanabia, who was posted at the embassy in Brussels, is accused of attempting to smuggle six kilograms of cocaine and was fired from his job on 9 September. Morales said the embassy will provide all the assistance it can, reports the Listin Diario.
