Some 23 flights have been suspended to and from New York City’s John F. Kennedy International and Newark airports since Friday, according to the Listin Diario. On Sunday, Continental Airlines was able to leave for Newark after that terminal was cleared for operation.

On Monday, six flights were suspended from the Las Americas, Santiago and Puerto Plata airports. Ellis Perez, spokesman for Aerodom Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata airports said that the airports expect flights to be back to normal today once the snow is cleared from the NewYork airports.
