Who cashed the check?

Fuel supply company Coastal is suing the state bus company Oficina Metropolitana de Servicios de Autobuses (OMSA) for lack of payment of a RD$1.5 million debt. But OMSA says that the fuel was paid for by a check, which was cashed. However, Coastal executives say they did not receive any such check. OMSA director Ignacio Ditren said that the matter is being investigated. He added that several names on the OMSA payroll listed as supposed recipients of the checks, amounting to RD$282,000 per month, do not match the ID numbers provided, and instead correspond to former employees of OMSA.
