President Leonel Fernandez has signed the ruling for the public information access law. Decree No 130-05 provides the mechanisms to implement Law 200-04 as ratified on 28 July 2004. The ruling is designed to guarantee citizens’ access to government activities and sources. The first case of the effective use of the law has yet to be reported.
