More on the multiuse sports installations

The Department for the Prevention of Corruption in The Listin Diario reported that the Government (Depreco) has requested of the Ministry and Sports a report on the payments made to Construgar, property of Bladimir Garcia, who was arrested in New York for ties to Quirino Paulino Castillo, accused of drug smuggling. The company is said to have received an advance of US$7 million on the contract to build 10 multiuse sports installations. Depreco also searched the offices of Child Safe Products, located on 27 Febrero 129, that has a contract for US$61.6 million for the construction of 115 multiuse sports installations, nationwide.

US Eximbank, the US export credit agency, made possible this credit, by guaranteeing the US$54.1 million loan provided by All First Bank of Baltimore to the program.
