High temperatures this week

The National Weather Service is warning that the hot weather will continue. . The metereologists says that noontime temperatures of more than 30C will continue nationwide.

Listin Diario issues a warning to all beachgoers who will be spending a lot of time on the nation’s seashores this long Easter Week to prepare for the heat. The head of the weather department, Jose Miguel Duquela recommended using light clothing and consuming larger than normal amounts of water. An atmospheric event that is circling the North Atlantic and part of the Caribbean is keeping the rains away and causing this very dry spell. The high temperatures will continue throughout the week. The good news is that despite the acute drought, the nation’s dams are at 70% capacity, which will guarantee water until the September period of tropical cyclones.
