Jorge Severino was entrusted with the new cover of the Santo Domingo obelisk. He follows in the footsteps of Amaya Salazar and her tribute to the Mirabal Sisters. The obelisk is sponsored by Verizon, which chose Candido Bido to paint the first work of art in 1995, a tribute to the doves of the city of Santo Domingo. Other works was Elsa Nunez?s Las Mariposas, also a tribute to the Mirabal sisters.
