Lawyer Marino Vinicio (Vincho) Castillo denounced that a case involving former army captain Quirino Ernesto Paulino Castillo, colonel Lidio Arturo Nin Terrero and exchange house banker Eleuterio Guante in the shipment of 2,000 kilos of cocaine, has been filed away at the National Drug Control Department since those involved have not been summoned to justice. Vincho Castillo spoke on Hoy Mismo, a Channel 9 program.
Diario Libre carries Castillo’s complaint that while the case had been completed, there were taped conversations and other evidence, it has not been sent to justice. He said the case dates back to April 2003 when the cargo allegedly arrived by way of Haina port. The cargo was destined to Puerto Rico. At the time, Castillo was a second lieutenant in the army. Quirino Ernesto Paulino is in jail in the United States accused of drug smuggling of a shipment of 1,387 kilos of cocaine.
