President Leonel Fernandez is scheduled to travel to Boston, Massachusetts in June. He is set to receive a honorary degree at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) in a ceremony scheduled for Friday, 3 June. Fernandez is honored for his leadership and promotion of democracy in his country and beyond.
