The United Nations has just made available its 2005 Human Development Report in the English language. The report has been widely publicized for placing a major challenge to Dominicans to change the course of the nation for the better. The report gives an indepth look into the causes of the problems and provides insights into the consequences if the country continues on the present track. In its section on tourism, the study focuses on the all-inclusive large resorts model of tourism in the Dominican Republic and corporate social responsibility.
