Showbusiness producer Guillermo Cordero has announced that Victor Victoria will open in the main hall of the National Theater in Santo Domingo on 4 August, as reported in El Caribe. The Broadway musical, which he has been working on for nine months, will present Freddy Beras Goico and Cecilia Garcia in the lead roles. Victor Victoria tells the story of Victoria Grant (Cecilia Garcia), who impersonates a man in Paris, and becomes the great attraction of society at the time with the complicity of Todd (Freddy Beras Goico). Other performers will be Carolina Rivas, Juan Tomas Reyes, Lillyana Diaz, Pepito Guerra, Kenny Grullon and Philip Rodriguez under the direction of Veronica Lopez. Mudical director is Amaury Sanchez. Tickets are selling at RD$1,200 and RD$600 (balcony).
