The general manager of Secrets Excellence Punta Cana, Emilio Huhn has been promoted to regional director for AMResorts in the Dominican Republic. The company oversees the Secrets Resorts & Spas and Sunscape Resorts & Spas brands in the DR.
A native of Switzerland with over 25 years of international experience in the hospitality industry, Huhn worked in Switzerland and Spain tourism facilities prior to moving to Mexico. There he was food & beverage manager, operations manager and general manager at several hotels and the Xcaret Eco Theme Park.
Since 2003, he has served as general manager of Secrets Excellence Punta Cana for two years before his appointment as Regional Director of Operations for the Dominican Republic. He was at Secrets during the difficult moments of Hurricane Jeanne, when guests at the hotel had to be evacuated due to flooding.
