Ocean World Marina is slated for completion by the winter season. Stefan Meister, in charge of the project says that the dredging is finally finished and the installation of the concrete piers has started and is progressing well. The Dominican construction company, Fortuna, is actually moving ahead of schedule. Contracts have already been signed for the installation of electricity, telephone, satellite TV, wireless internet and voIP facilities for the marina. Ocean World Marina is featured in Superports Magazine’s 2006 edition. The publication features the top 440 of the world’s top superyacht marinas.
Meister says they expect a soft opening in time for Christmas. At that t ime only the fuel dock and section A of the marina will be open with basic services. A full opening is scheduled for July 2006.
The Ocean World Marina is located adjacent to the Ocean World Water Park.
