The Sosua & Cabarete Hotel Association, in coordination with the Caribbean Hotel Association has prepared a workshop for small hotel managers, owners and operators. The workshop will provide owners, managers and operators of small hotels with new tools to improve management. Participants will receive a copy of the CHA Reference Manual for Small Hotels, a guide to implement best practices in hotel operations. The objectives of the workshop are to develop a mission and vision of the hotel and identify key elements of the business. Identify two areas of development in each department based on a review of the chapters of the Reference Manuel provided. Develop a plan for service enhancement based on the two critical areas previously identified. It is scheduled to take place 29-30 September at the Puerto Plata Breezes Hotel in Sosua, Puerto Plata. It covers one day of classroom workshop and one day on site visits. The methodology features group discussions, mini lectures, demonstrations, hand-on activities and role plays. The cost of the workshop is RD$2,500 per person.
