Starting tomorrow, on the first day of October every year, the DR will commemorate the National Day of the Elderly. This was informed by Vice President Rafael Alburquerque who will celebrate a ceremony today in the Presidential Palace to announce the plans to be developed by the National Council of the Elderly, a recently-formed state institution that will look after the wellbeing of senior citizens.
