The government has been the big loser with the contracts it has signed since the remodeling of the Agua y Luz lights and sound theater during the last Balaguer administration. None of the contractors have complied minimally with what they offered. Now, the government is about to sign a new lease contract, this time for 30 years, that reporters of Diario Libre say would be another big mistake. The contract with Dawn Properties Limited establishes that if for any reason the government would want to rescind from the 30-year contract it would not be able to do so, even if the company did not fulfill its contractual obligations. The newspaper says the spokesman for the Dawn Properties Limited company could not offer any details on the company nor the project, alleging having just joined the company.
