Opposition parties favor political pact

PRD, PRSC and the PRI have expressed support for the proposal made by Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) president Jorge Subero Isa with the aim of reaching a political and social pact. The parties believe that that initiative will serve to tackle themes such as corruption, citizens’ insecurity, poverty and the lack of health and education, according to a report by Listin Diario. Party leaders say that group interests need to be put aside and a dialogue started to find solutions to the country’s problems. Subero made the proposal in a speech during the commemoration of the Day of the Judicial Branch.
