A man wanted in extradition by the US has voluntarily turned himself in to US authorities to be tried in the New York Federal Court. He is charged with homicide. Raymond Flores decided to sign an affidavit at the Attorney General’s Department stating his will to turn himself in. In a related case, the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) will decide within 30 days on the extradition request of Jose Sime Reyes. Sime is wanted by the US, for being part of an organized crime network composed of German, French, Dutch, Dominican and US citizens. According to a diplomatic source, the suspect used to recruit European tourists on vacation in the DR to take illegal substances to The Netherlands, which were later sent to the US by the people he had contacted.
