Transportation czar Diandino Pena has announced a tender for the construction of the Metro Station in Villa Mella. The exact location of the construction site was not immediately available. The OPRET director and minister of state also said that any legally constituted company was eligible to compete in the bidding, as long as it was up to date in its taxes and social security obligations. The bid, Number 011-06, is open from 14 January until 20 January and the bids will be opened on 25 January. It will cost RD$4000 to obtain the right to make a bid on the project.
