Deputy Julio Cesar Valentin could be selected to replace AG Francisco Dominguez Brito, should the latter become the PLD candidate for Senator in Santiago, according to sources related to the official party, as reported by Diario Libre. The PLD had decided to reserve the selection of candidates for Senator and Mayor of Santiago, which according to sources are being kept for Dominguez Brito and Jose Ramon Fadul, respectively. However, Fadul is reported to have denied interest in becoming the Mayor of Santiago.
