Baez attorneys warn potential buyers

Attorneys for the president of collapsed bank Baninter, Ramon Baez Figueroa are warning potential buyers of the glass tower that used to belong to the bank that they would also be filing a lawsuit in the Dominican courts to seek legal action against the sale. Lawyer Vinicio Castillo Seman was reacting to a story in Clave Digital according to which the building is to be adjudicated. The property has been valued at US$44.5 million by the Central Bank. “We will impeach any transaction made with that tower”, warned Castillo Seman. He reminded the public that the cases in courts regarding a recourse of nullity and a recourse of unconstitutionality in the collapse of the bank, are still pending termination.
