Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso traveled to Guyana today to attend the handover ceremony of the Pro Tempore Secretariat of the Rio Group, which will now be in hands of the Guyanese Foreign Relations Ministry, as reported by Diario Libre. The meeting, which will be held in the Guyanese capital Georgetown, begins today. Morales will address the group on the Dominican position in relation to the Rio Group’s challenges and about the Haitian situation. After the meeting in Guyana, Morales will travel to Honduras where he will represent President Fernandez at President-Elect Jose Manuel Zelaya Rosales’s inauguration ceremony.
