The Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) has issued four arrest warrants against Dominicans wanted for extradition to the US. Diario Libre reports that the United States justice system has federal charges filed against Porfirio Antonio Hernandez, Braulio Espiritusanto, Cesar Bueno (a.k.a. El Maton-the killer) and Alejandro Martinez or Alex Martinez or Alejandro Martinez Garcia, that range from conspiracy for illegal drug trafficking, murder and other crimes. Extradition requests were made by the US Embassy through the Attorney General’s Department. At the end of 2005, the SCJ rejected an extradition request for Jose Raymundo Francisco because the name and ID number did not tally on the diplomatic note. Last year a total of 118 Dominicans were extradited.
