A simulation of the Organization of American States (OAS) assembly is to be held from 5 March to 10 March 2006 in the DR. According to a report in El Caribe, OAS representative Bertha Santoscoy announced that this simulation would have each member country represented by a university. This program is relevant because it allows an in-depth knowledge of the way the institution is handled. United Nations Association executive director Pilar Sandoval indicated that participants would be chosen in an open process. Each country will be represented by 10 students who will be sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.
