Haitian President-elect Rene Preval announced yesterday that the Dominican Republic would be the first country he will visit after he takes office, according to a report in Listin Diario. This will serve to strengthen relations between the two countries according to Preval, who informed the Dominican ambassador in Port-au-Prince, Jose Serrulle, of his decision.
