The comedy “Un macho de mujer,” an Alfonso Rodriguez production, could set a new record for a Dominican-produced film. As reported in Listin Diario, as of last weekend, 120,000 people had seen the film that opened on 9 February in Santo Domingo. The record for a Dominican film is “Perico ripiao,” by Angel Muniz that sold 700,000 tickets. Over the weekend, more than 100,000 people went to see the comedy starring Roberto Salcedo, Ana Karina Casanova, Daniel Sarcos, Tania Baez, Maria del Carmen Hernandez, Jochy Santos and Renata Sone. The film is about three couples that rotate roles among themselves, after a spell makes the men take up the role of househusbands.
