Former Vice President Milagros Ortiz Bosch has announced the formation of a new movement within the PRD, claiming that she cannot remain indifferent to the party’s situation after the election candidates were selected. The “Force for Renewal” movement is aimed at completing the PRD’s modernization and political transformation, contributing to reestablishing its democratic vocation and the principles that led to the party’s foundation, as reported by Diario Libre. Ortiz declared that the process of selection of candidates had led to dissatisfaction and resentment that was “justified in many cases”, as a consequence of incorrect and biased administration of decisions and the lack of respect toward organic agreements.
