Haitian criminals sought in DR

Haitian criminals who allegedly crossed the Dominican border are being sought by local authorities. They came here to avoid prosecution for crimes of state during the Aristide administration. It is presumed that they have protection that has made their capture impossible. According to El Caribe, they are on a list submitted by the Haitian police to local security departments twelve months ago, but some have recurred in their criminal activities this year. The information was disclosed by the Department for Haitian Affairs of the National Intelligence Directorate. The criminals are wanted for kidnapping, drug trafficking and “barbaric acts”.
