Recent news reports reveal that Brad Pitt, who was here to accompany Angelina Jolie when she was filming the movie “The Good Shepherd” with Robert De Niro was in the DR last week scouting for real estate development locations. DR1 forums had reported that Pitt was “extremely interested in Samana.” He was accompanied by star promoter, George Nader, who some time ago was reported to be assisting Colombian star Shakira to find property in Samana. An AP release says that the actor took a helicopter to the Samana peninsula and flew over the east coast tourist area of Punta Cana as well as over Miches, another eastern area that is yet to be developed.
News reports from Cabarete indicate that Glenn Close, of “Fatal Attraction” fame is shopping for real estate in the north coast after having vacationed in Cabarete with her family last month.
