Night raiders

Journalist Clara Leyla Alfonso and architect Placido Pina woke up to an unpleasant surprise on Sunday. Their two vehicles parked outside their home in Arroyo Hondo were riddled with bullet holes. No one was injured. Alfonso said she heard a motorcycle passing early in the morning and thought it was the newspaper distributor. When checking they saw that the back windows of their vehicles had been shot through, and found bullet holes in the two cars. The cars would have had to be fired at through a hole in the gate to the house. The journalist said that she had no idea about the possible motive behind the attack. She called a press conference and expressed her concern about what she described as “this unprecedented wave of violent crimes”.
