Adria Hall, former CNN journalist and Caribbean region specialist, is the guest speaker at the Tourism and the Media conference organized by the Ministry of Tourism in Puerto Plata from 2 to 4 June. She will be speaking about marketing the message through emdia relationships as a key to tourism success.
The event will take place at Hotel Playa Naco in Playa Dorada and has the sponsorship of the Playa Dorada Hotel Association, Playa Naco Hotel and Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana (Presidente beer). Adria is president of SpeakEasy M.E.D.I.A., Inc. and a popular speaker on press relations.
The Ministry of Tourism has invited journalists from all over the Dominican Republic who cover tourism, health and police topics to attend the event.
In addition to Hall, others speaking are Tourism deputy ministers Iris Perez, Luis Simo and Magaly Toribio. Culture and tourism journalist, Jose Rafael Sosa will discuss press coverage as an important vehicle for citizen awareness campaigns.
