Air conditioning at the Cathedral

Visitors to the first cathedral in the New World, that of Santo Domingo, will soon be able to enjoy climatized service. As of Wednesday, 16 August the Cathedral hopes to be offering mass in cool temperatures.

The air conditioning system called for the installation of 20 units of 24,000 BTU, as reported in Diario Libre.

The air conditioning will make the Easter and Christmas choral presentations so much more agreeable. The office in charge of the climatizing has not revealed the cost of the project that was picked up by the Dominican government.
