Cirque Du Soleil, Juan Luis Guerra and the Santo Domingo Philharmonic directed by Amaury Sanchez are booked for the lavish opening of the first phase of the Cap Cana Marina on 28 April. The first phase will have capacity for 72 yachts of up to 60 feet. Once completed, the marina will have 1,500 slots with capacity for yachts or mega-yachts of up to 250 feet. President Leonel Fernandez is expected to attend the event, and Donald Trump will be among the special guests. He will be launching Trump Farallon Estates, a 68-home residential complex, with lots ranging from 6,000 to 24,000 square meters located at 200 feet above sea level.
Also new this year at Cap Cana is the Hotel Sanctuary Cap Cana Golf & Spa, with 176 suites, that is due to open this year. By year’s end, the Golden Bear Lodge condominium that will operate as a boutique-hotel is expected to be open to the general public.
