Casa de Campo in La Romana is organizing a grand exhibition of products from Andalucia to showcase Spanish heritage in the Dominican Republic. The Gran Feria de Andalucia en el Caribe is in its second year. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 27 February (a national holiday celebration Dominican independence from Haiti) to Sunday, 2 March and will be centered at the Equestrian Center. Watch the elegant dresses of the flamenco dancers, the horses, listen to the music and enjoy tapas prepared Sevilla style.
Parallel with the exhibition, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (Funglode) is hosting a Business Forum with the participation of President Leonel Fernandez, and former heads of state Felipe Gonzalez (Spain), Oscar Arias (Costa Rica), the Grupo Cisneros from Venezuela and the Confederation of Businessmen from Sevilla, among others.
Puerto Rico will also be present. Governor Anibal Acevedo Vila is also expected on the inaugural evening. The Flamenco Dance Troupe of the Casa de Espana in Puerto Rico is coming for the event.
