This year the largest Dominican delegation ever will represent the country at the 42nd ITB Travel Fair in Berlin. The DR is this year’s Official Partner Country and several events will take place to promote the DR before the audience of the world’s leading travel fair. The Ministry of Tourism, which is coordinating the local participation, says that 41 Dominican companies have confirmed that they will be represented at the 500-meter Dominican stand, while several other Dominican companies have booked their own stands for the 4-9 March event that has attracted 180 countries.
The DR participants include: Agua Resort & Spa, Amhsa Marina Hotels & Resort, Barcelo Hotels & Resort, Blue Bay Hotels, Cap Cana, Caribbean Nexus Tours, Casa de Campo, Celuisma Hoteles, Club Caribe, Cocotours, Colony Bay Resort, Coral Costa Caribe Juan Dolio, Domitur, Don Juan Beach Resort, Eden Real Arena.
Fun Royale, La Estancia Real Golf Residences, Lifestyle Hacienda-Villas Beach Resort & Spa, Majestic Resort, Oasis Hotels & Resort, Ocean Hotels & Resort, Ocean Hotels by H10 Hotels, Ocean World Adventure Park, Prieto Tours, Princess Hotels, Puerto Plata Village, Punta Cana Resort & Club, Sanctuary Cap Cana Golf & Spa, Sivory Punta Cana, Sosua Bay Resort, The Golf Suites Hotel Boutique, The Westin Roco Ki Beach & Golf Resort, Thomas Tours, Tropical Clubs, VH Hotels & Resort, VIK Hotel Arena Blanca and Viva Wyndham Resort. Also attending are the National Hotel & Restaurant Association, Banco Popular Dominicano, Brugal rum, Aerodom airports and Leon Jimenes’ Aurora cigars.
The Ministry of Tourism, the National Competitiveness Council and DR Center for Export and Investments will be attending representing the government.
Dominican participation organizer, Tourism Minister Felix Jimenez said that the government has made EUR2 million available to cover the costs of the event.
