The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development and its Washington-based branch, working closely with the Dominican Military Institute of Cartography, contracted the National Geographic Society (NGS) to produce an adventure map for visitors to the Dominican Republic. The detailed map seeks to promote the diversification of the local tourist offering while creating a cartographic base for the country. The map is available in English wherever National Geographic products are sold, as well as through the NGS’s online store. A Spanish version of the map will soon be available.
The NGS will also be launching a travel guidebook on the DR in the near future.
