Dominican music great singer-composer Juan Luis Guerra and his 4-40 band will be taking Dominican music abroad as he tours the United States and Europe this summer. His fans in the US and Europe will be able to enjoy the music of his multi-Grammy award winning “La llave de mi Corazon (Medicine for my Soul) and his style of merengue, bachata and salsa combined with funk and rock.
The “La Travesia” (The Crossing) Concert Tour opens on 12 July with a performance at Miami’s American Airlines Arena, followed by performances at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida on 13 July; the Gwinnett Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on 16 July; New York City’s Madison Square Garden on 18 July; the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California on 31 July; and the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on 3 August.
Next, Guerra crosses the Atlantic for performances in Gran Canaria on 26 August and in Tenerife on 28 August. The venues for these two performances have yet to be announced. He then travels on to Barcelona, for a 9 September concert at the Palau St. Jordi and an 11 September concert at the Palacio de los Deportes in Madrid.
