The needed win ended an 8-game losing streak of the season. That evening, Ramirez became the 47th player in the history of baseball to hit 500 doubles. Ramirez put the Dodgers ahead with a home run in the third inning. His double in the 5th extended the Dodgers’ lead to 5-1. Ramirez’s homer in the seventh ensured the victory.
