The editor of Casa de Campo News in La Romana has retained his Top 10 World Ranking for Masters Swimming. Danilo Vicioso made the top 10 in the 45- to-49 age group, according to the FINA (the International Swimming Federation) that governs world amateur swimming. Despite having an off year, Vicioso still managed to get into the rankings with a 6th in the 200-meter backstroke; 7th in the 200-meter butterfly and 10th in the 200-meter individual medley (all four strokes). He still is the only Dominican on the list.
He says he is training for the two main challenges ahead this year: the PanAm Masters in Veracruz, Mexico and the South American Championships in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
