Santo Domingo now has its own much-needed tourist city guide. The DR1Guide Santo Domingo is now available free at large and small hotels in Santo Domingo and a selection of sites popular with tourists.
The full color illustrated guide tells visitors where to go and what to do from a local insiders’ perspectives. Full of interesting articles on the capital city, the dr1guide Santo Domingo includes pictures, maps, nightlife, eating and shopping references, as well as detailed information on nearby beaches.
“At a time when many successful print publications are migrating to the Internet, dr1.com moves from its strong online position to bring our readers the DR1Guide Santo Domingo, first in a series of print publications that seek to capture the essence of Dominican destinations,” says Dolores Vicioso, editorial director of the guide.
“The idea is to keep our visitors discovering what they shouldn’t miss,” says Vicioso. Behind the guide is the knowledge, experience and talent of the dr1 team, with project managers Thomas Murray and Lu Olivero making the guide happen and keeping it for the young at heart all throughout. Also key to the overall project are Robert Woolford, technical director, and Baldomero Quezada and Ken Harrington with their major design and photography contributions.
Complementing the printed version is a fully interactive website, offering expanded content, downloadable maps, photos, video, articles and much more at dr1guide.com
